Mikko Koria

Mikko Koria is the Professor and chair in Design Innovation and the Director of the Institute for Design Innovation at Loughborough University London, and Visiting Professor at Aalto University, Finland. Over the last thirty years he has worked extensively with multinational corporations, SMEs and start-ups, the public sectors of multiple countries, and global organisations such as the Red Cross, EU, UNICEF the World Bank and the private, public and the third sectors in the UK, Finland, Brazil, and multiple other Asian, African and South American countries. Key areas of research and professional practice include design driven education and training, value-intensive management, service design and innovation, policymaking, business models and ecosystems, entrepreneurship and global management. Activities also include memberships and leading international juries, acting as reviewer for research bodies, academic journals, PhD examinations (CBS, IIT, RCA), conference keynotes and facilitation.
